Empties

Here it is, another empties post. This ones actually got quite a few makeup empties in. I have 7 empties to share my views on with you today.

As there mostly makeup items I will start with the non makeup items first. Garnier's fresh essentials refreshing scrub. I used to use the st ives apricot scrub all the way from in my teenage years, until it started to get expensive. I then switched to this as it was cheaper and did the same thing. I do like this, it is a little refreshing and does exfoliate your face without being too harsh. However I don’t think I will repurchase this because I don’t feel like it does anything for my skin. Basically I don’t miss this when I don’t use it. So I want to find a new scrub that makes me want to use it.

The last non makeup item is this rituals yogi flow shower gel. This is a gel that foams up instantly when pumped out of the bottle. This is a really lovely scent and I really enjoyed using this. I found that because the foams up really well you can also use this product not only for washing but also as a stand in shaving cream. I really like rituals products and would look into buying this again.

Onto the makeup empties, firstly I have an eye primer that I got out of one of my glossy boxes by absolute New York. This is an american brand, so you cant actually buy it over here in the uk. Which is a shame as it’s a pretty decent eye primer. Its no urban decay primer potion, but its decent enough for just a normal working day. I obviously wont be repurchasing because im unable to.

Next we have the seventeen smoulder gel liner. I think this is an amazing dupe for mac's black track liner. I had the mac one and I liked it but it dried up so quickly. So I bought this one from boots to try out. I don’t know if they still do it, I hope they do as it was last year that I bought this. I still didn’t get to use the whole thing up before it dried out but it lasted 9 months longer than the mac one and at £3.99 I really wasn’t bothered. Compared to the price of mac's liner. I would definitely like to buy this again as it applies really well, doesn’t smudge once dry and lasts a long time.

Maybelline's fit me concealer in the shade 15. This concealer is supposed to be a dupe for the Nars creamy concealer. Ive never tried the Nars one so I cant really compare. But I do love this concealer, its creamy, blends well and stays put. I have already bought a new one of these, but they seem to have changed them as I can no longer get hold of the shade 10 the lowest they seem to do now is shade 15 and that’s shade isnt really working out for me as well as the old one.

Lastly I have two mini samples from benefit. The first is the posietint, this is a tint that you can use as blusher or on your lips. This is great for the summer on your cheeks so your face doesn’t feel cakey and you don’t sweat your blusher off. Personally though I prefer it more just for the lips. I like applying this and then adding a lip balm or gloss over the top for a your lips but better look. I have a full size of this that I'm still working on at  the moment so I wont be repurchasing for a while

The last mini for benefit is the stay don’t stray. This is a eye base, you apply to your eye lid to keep your eyeshadow in place and can also apply it under your eyes as a base for your concealer. I didn’t really like this product, I didn’t think it did a good job at keeping your eye shadow on. However I did like it under my eyes as it helped to cancel out a bit of the darkness under my eyes and it kept my concealer on longer as my under eyes don’t get as oily an]s my eyelids do. I wont be repurchasing this product though.

Has anyone got any concealer recommendations for me to try??
