Another month is coming to an end, so that means its time for another monthly favourites.
Most of this month I've been ill so I haven't really wanted to apply much makeup. There was a few days where I did wear makeup and these days I just wanted to apply it quickly to hide the fact I felt rubbish and to also try and make me feel a little bit better.
My first favourite is the urban decay naked skin weightless complete coverage concealer. Instead of foundation I've been applying this concealer under my eyes and on any red areas, which was mainly around my nose. By blending this in with my beauty blender its covered any bad areas really quickly and the best bit about this concealer is that it doesn't feel like I have anything on my skin.
My next favourite is also for my face it’s the maybelline super stay 24hr waterproof powder. This gives a flawless look to your face, which was great for me when I was feeling shocking. It also controls oiliness and shine all day long and is long lasting. So no need to even think about touching it up.
The next product is one I received in my birchbox, it’s the love of colour one and done shadow stick in the shade champagne problems. This is great, you just apply all over the eyelid and then blend with your finger. This then dries and just stays put, I think I even skipped primer for my eye lids when I was ill and this still managed to last throughout my day at work. This is a great product that’s long lasting, quick and easy to apply.
Onto brows, probably not something you think I would be bothered with when your ill. But when your brows look done and tidy, I think it helps to just completed your look. All this month I've been using the Benefit gimme brow gel as its just a quick sweep on your brows, which fills in the gaps and tames them crazy pillow brows in no time.
Another favourite that I got out of my birchbox is the arrow boost colour enhancing lip balm. I love the concept of this lip balm! This lip balm changes shades depending on your own PH levels. So your never going to get the exact same shade everyday because your PH levels are most likely not going to be exactly the same everyday. This starts off as a light pink shade (your lips but just a little bit better). It can develop on your lips into a brighter pink depending on your ph levels, but I've found whatever shade its developed into its still been wearable. This was great for me when I was ill, as it’s a lip balm so it kept my lips hydrated but also added that pop of colour that can just cheer you up when your feeling rubbish.
My last favourite is sheet masks in general, but this one is called forever young by jean pierre. It’s a brightening lemon sheet mask that gently removes the top layer of dead skin while also hydrating and brightening. This was just what my skin needed, when I started to feel better. After being ill my skin was so dry, not even just on my face my whole body was dry as id been so wiped out and run down. So this was the perfect thing to use on my face to bring it back to normality and just treat myself a little.
This month my favourites have all been about quick and easy. Whats your favourite get the job done product?
