I don't always have time to do a full on eye make-up look. But I still want my eyes to look half decent. I'm going to show you an autumn eye look, that only uses two eye shadows. This really quick and easy to do, its my go to look for when I'm in a rush.
My face never seems to take me that long, probably around five minutes. My eyes however, take a lot longer, as there always seems to be a lot of blending to do and eyeliner to perfect.
As this post is all about the eyes, I've already done the rest of my face and only left the eyes to show you. But for any of you wondering what's on my face, I'll list it quickly below for you.
- Primer = Laura Mercier.
- Foundation = Rimmel stay matte, in the shade Ivory.
- Concealer = L'oreal true match, in the shade Vanilla.
- Powder = Rimmel stay matte, in the shade 100.
- Bronzer = Nars Laguna.
- Blusher = Nars Enrapture.
- Brow Gel = Benefit Gimme brow, in the shade medium/deep.
- Lips - Organic pharmacy lip balm
The look I'm about to show you, was created using two of my all time favourite colours. These colours are from Urban Decays ammo palette. Which unfortunately, they no longer sell. But you can buy them both separately, in the single shadows. The two shades I've used out of this palette are Sin and Chopper. Sin is a champagne shimmer and Chopper is a shimmery copper, with silver micro glitter.
First of all I used Urban decays primer potion all over eye lids. This helps to keep the eyeshadow in place all day and evens out the colour of my eye lids. Then I applied Sin all over my eye lid and up to my brows. Taking the only other colour I'm using, chopper. I applied this in my crease and took it up to my brow bone and onto half of my eye lid. I have hooded eyes, so this is why I've took chopped higher on my brow bone than a lot of people would. If I just took it to the crease, then you wouldn't see the colour. I blended the shades together, to take away any harsh lines and make sure that they blend seamlessly together. Urban decay eye shadows blend really well together. For me they are some of the best eye shadows I own, as there soft, long lasting and have great pigmentation.
To complete my eyes, I needed to apply eye liner and mascara. I took my Kat Von D's liner, in the shade trooper and did a quick winged line. Then I took my lash primer from urban decay, called subversion. This is great at keeping lashes long, strong and thick. The mascara I used was by too faced, its called better than sex. This is probably one of my all time favourite mascaras, my lashes look thicker, longer and curled after just one swipe.
Finally to complete my autumn look, I needed some lipstick. Lips are usually the last part of my make-up routine, It just seems right that way. It also gives my lip balm a chance to sink in and soften my lips. The combo I'm using on my lips for this look. Is this nude lip liner from New Look and one of my all time favourite nude lipsticks from Urban decay, in the shade Liar.
What brand of eyeshadow is your favourite?
I'm yet to try too faced eye shadows, there sets look good but are they worth a try? Let me know if I should try them or not?
