This is the fourth and last wedding of the year we had been invited to, so I thought I would share with you how I got ready for this wedding and went from this mess to looking a lot more presentable.
I started prep the night before by having a shower, washing my hair with my Paul Mitchell shampoo and the detangler Conditioner. While in the shower I also shaved my legs with my Gillette disposable razor, can't have prickly legs when your wearing a dress. After my shower I moisturised my body with this handy travel sized Vaseline body cream. I then applied Paul Mitchell's super skinny serum through my hair and brushed that through with my tangle teezer. This helps to seal ends, stop it freezer and cuts drying time down. I decided to let my hair naturally dry overnight as I knew I would be curling my hair the next day so didn't want to apply unnecessary heat with the hair dryer.
The next morning after we had stuffed our self with breakfast I started getting ready by starting with my skincare. First off I used the Garnier eye makeup remover to wake my eyes up and make sure I got all the makeup off from last night. Then I used benefits moisture prep lotion as a cleanser and my sanctuary pore refining toner. Once my face was clean I used the ren beauty shot serum, the first aid beauty eye cream followed by benefits triple performance moisturiser.
Moving onto the makeup. First things first I applied a primer, benefits porefessional. This is the perfect primer to use when you want your makeup to last all day long. Next I used benefits big easy foundation, I applied this with a beauty blender, I feel that this is the best way to apply this foundation. For under my eyes I used maybellines fit me concealer and for any redness or scaring I used collections lasting perfection concealer. This was all set in place by soap and glory's one heck of s blot powder. For my cheeks I used urban decays naked flushed broker, blush and highlighter set.
I primer my eyes with urban decays primer potion, another must for when you need your eyeshadow to last the day. Using my urban decay naked 3 palette I applied limit all over my lid in my crease and just above my crease. Then I used strange below my brow. I applied liar all over my eyelid apart from the very inner corner of my eye. Finally I took dark and used it in the router corner of my eye and in the the crease to give a smokey look. I lined my eyes and winged them using benefits they're real push up liner, I used the stilla colbat liner on my waterline to make my eyes pop and I used the stilla smoke liner under the bottom of my lash line. I primed my lashes with urban decays subversion mascara and then used benefits they're real mascara to give the false lash effect look. For my eyebrows I used b defined eyebrow kit using the powder to fill in sparse areas and then using the wax to keep them in place.
I finished my makeup with urban decays lipstick in liar and spritzed urban decays all nighter spray on my face to keep my makeup there all day and night long.
Then it was time to tame the hair!
I sectioned my hair in two and sprayed my vo5 heat spray over my hair. Using my babyliss curl secret I curled my hair, I forgot how easy this was to use and how long the curls last. When all my hair was curled I used the agave hair oil through my hair to smooth it and to help loosen some of the curls. When I got my desired look I took the Paul Mitchell freeze and shine super spray to set my style.
Time for getting dressed
My dress is from miss selfridge about 3 or 4 years old. My miss kg open toed shoes are my bridesmaid shoes from my mums wedding last year.
Not forgetting finally I used my dove deodorant and sprayed my favourite perfume of the moment from Cartier.
Hope you enjoyed seeing the process of me getting ready for the wedding. What's your favourite go to hair do for a wedding?
