November is at an end, and the countdown to Christmas with the advent calendars begins tomorrow. I can't wait as this year I have the benefit 12 days of Christmas calendar, so I'm excited to see what's behind door number one.
I love the colder months with brung able to wrap up cozy in thick jumpers, lighting candles and getting snuggled up under a blanket. With the colder weather I have found myself switching up a few products and in doing so have a come across a few new favourites.
My first favourite has been a bit of a skincare savour this month as the weather is quite drying in the skin. This is the Nuxe 24hour soothing and hydrating fresh mask. I've found myself applying this two to three times a week to keep the winter skin at bay. I apply this at night and let it work it's magic overnight. In the morning my face looks refreshed, feels soft and there's no dryness to be seen.
Next is lanolips lip ointment in rhubarb. I received this in my glossybox and it's been a bit of a lip saviour for me. I've had really dry lips and this has helped them out so much, the oils nourish your lips, make them soft and keep dryness away. This one is a lip ointment with colour, I like this as I've found I've not been able to wear lipstick so at least I've still been able to apply a bit of lip colour by using this.
This serum was also out of an earlier glossybox. This is by noxidoxi and is an enhancing serum. This is described as extreme youth in just 20 seconds. This serum is supposed to keep the surface of your skin well moisturised, tighter pores, anti-inflammatory to protect skin from harmful affects outside and a protective antioxidant action. I feel that this is helping to keep my skin hydrated and preps my skin nicely before applying foundation.
Lastly is my foundation from collection. This is a new foundation as the ones I own are liquid to powder formulations which is no good for dry skin. I picked this up because it was cheap and I love the concealer so had hopes that the foundation would be the same. This is a 6in1 foundation that primes, conceals, covers, smoothes, protects and matures. It has spf20 and lasts up to 16hours. This is a medium to high coverage foundation, which doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. I wouldn't say it's lasts 16hours, more like 8 but that's long enough for me. I really like this foundation, it looks even better when applied with a blending sponge.
Have you tried any of the collection foundations ? What are your thoughts?
Just so you know I will doing Blogmas so I will be posting everyday until Christmas
