Disappointing Products

As bloggers we tend to always go on about the products that we love, often forgetting to let others know about the products we don't love. I've been saving up the products I've not been loving, rather than throwing them away. I've done this so that i could show you the products, that in my opinion may not be worth wasting your money on.

I have five products to share with you today, so lets get into the reasons why I'm not loving them so much.

1
Eyeko's black magic mascara.
This product is described as being designed for after hours seduction with the brush being able to create volume and curl . It's water resistant, extremely black and is enriched with conditioning keratin and Shea butter.
The fact that this product has keratin and Shea butter to condition and help keep your lashes looking in tip top condition is brilliant. Its probably the best thing about this mascara! You would also think that being water resistant would be a good point, right? Wrong! It took forever to remove this mascara, eye make-up remover and face wipes just didn't cut it. I spent ages trying to remove the mascara, which meant that I ended up overly rubbing my eyes and lashes. As we all know overly rubbing the eye area is not something we want to be doing and i have no idea how many lashes ended up coming out when i was trying to remove the stubborn mascara! This also didn't really give me much volume, however it did give a slight curl to my lashes but that dropped after a few hours. At £18.00, i don't think this product is worth it, as you can get much better volume and curl from much cheaper mascara.

2
Noxi Doxi enhancing serum base.
This is a serum that gives your skin a dose of youth, it hydrates, tightens pores and shields against anti oxidants. This sounded like an amazing skin care product, one that I introduced straight into my skincare routine after receiving it in my Glossybox. However for me this product did not work out. That doesn't mean that it wont work out for you though, as everyone's skin is different. I've never found my skin to be sensitive to anything before but when I started using this product my skin broke out. As soon as i stopped using this product my skin calmed down, I have no idea what's in this product that my skin doesn't like. But like I said my skin has never had any problems before with any products. I was very disappointed that I didn't get to see any of the wonderful benefits that this serum was supposed to deliver. If you know that certain ingredients affect your skin then check the ingredient list out before trying this, but if your skin is usually fine then give it a go as your skin may not react like mine did.

Absolute New York's velvet lippie, in the shade rumba.
First of all I really don't like this shade for my skin tone at all! It's a orange/coral colour, it came in my Glossybox but its not a colour that I would choose for myself. Its a very weird lip product, its branded as being a buttery matte lip cream. It is creamy, which is great as your lips don't feel dried out by this product. Usually with matte products, your lips are left feeling dry and tight. Even though its a creamy formula it still doesn't look right on my lips. Like most matte products it clings to any dry patches on your lips, making your lips look really unattractive.I'm not a fan of the formulation of this lip product at all! If I'd have liked the formulation I would have purchased it in a shade I liked, this product is not for me!

L'Oreal volume million lashes mascara.
This is supposed to give your lashes volume, hence the name. I do like how this mascara does give your lashes great volume. I also like the anti clump wiper, as it means that the right amount of product is on the wand. This means you don't end up with clumpy spider lashes. The wand separated and coated every single lash. The down side to this product is that as soon as you apply it you can see how dry your lashes look. I would often find that my lashes had flaked due to the dry formula. I hated seeing my lashes look dry! Overall the mascara does what it says, but the fact that this dried my lashes out was a big no no. Also no body likes to have mascara flakes under their eyes, its just not a good look. Especially when you have spent time an effort applying it just right.

The last product is by spectrum, called unicorn tears.
Its their version of a beauty blender. I was so excited to try this as I love the spectrum brushes, not only are they beautiful but they are also great tools at great prices. This however is not a good beauty sponge. It's way too hard and stiff unlike the real techniques or the original beauty blender, which are softer and flexible. When run under water this doesn't really swell up in size too much and it is still very stiff. There is no way that you could use this to blend your under eye concealer, its way to big and stiff to get close to your eye. I also found that my foundation didn't blend into my skin nicely at all, it took way longer to blend and then didn't sit right on my skin afterwards. This is only £4.99 so its not a big waste of money if you don't want to take my word for it and try it out yourself. Don't let the beauty sponge put your off the rest of their products though! There make-up brushes are amazing, there so soft, apply make-up beautifully and wash really well.

All opinions are my own, you may have different thoughts to me. This is how I got on with these products and just wanted to share my honest opinion with you, so you can try and make your mind up on whether or not these product are for you.

If there is any products that you would like me to try that i can give my honest opinion on or that you have tried yourself then leave me a comment below.
