My top 10 spring/summer nail polishes

I've picked out my top 10 nail varnishes that get me in the mood for spring/summer. They make me feel happy when I look at my hands even if it's raining outside.

1- Models own fruit pastel nail polish in banana split - £5.00 at boots

This is a pastel yellow. It's one of the models own scented range, so it smells of banana. When I have this on my nails not only does it make me smile due to it being sunshine yellow, but to smell bananas on my nails makes me chuckle. I've found that the scent only lasts a day, and if you do want the scent obviously don't use a topcoat. This needs two coats, it's not super long lasting due to you not being able to apply a top coat for the scent of the polish.

2. Colour club - breakfast at .... - £15 for 4 at birchbox
This is a frosted pale green it's a perfect colour for spring as it's not too in your face but it still a pop of colour that makes you smile. This applies really nice, only needs two coats and is long lasting. It lasted me five days before it chipped and that's with some serious pot washing.

3. Barry m nail paint - berry - £2.99 at boots

This is a pastel purple a great spring colour that will lead you into summer. This only needs two coats it's hard wearing and lasts about five days

4. Barry m hi shine gel effect - key lime - £3.99 at boots

This is a neon green. It's a gel effect polish with means that you only need one coat, however it does go on quite thick due to it being gel effect so does take longer to dry. I've found that you need to make sure you seal these well with a top coat as they do chip very easily.

5. Barry m nail paint - blueberry - £2.99 at boots

A bright sky blue perfect to perk up any day and at £2.99 you can't go wrong. This needs two coats, drys fast and is long wearing.

6. Ciate paint pot - red hot chili - £9.00 from ciate you can find some on offer at beauty bay

A bold bright red a perfect summer colour, although red is associated more with Christmas time I think this is more of a summer red due to the brightness of it. This can go on in one coat but I do prefer to apply two coats of this. You do need to make sure you apply a top coat to this as if you don't this will chip on the first day.

7. Nails inc - notting hill gate - £11.00 at nails inc

These are more on the pricey side but if you look out on there website you can find some on offer for £5 or you can get one of the nail polish collections which are more cost effective.

I love this colour as it's an in your face neon pink perfect for the summer and holidays. This is using 3 coats and I'm not sure if I would maybe do a fourth. This lasts about five days on my nails before chipping.

8. Nails inc - sloane avenue - £11.00 at nails inc

One of my most favourite summer time colours has to be coral this is a neon coral so it's kind of bam summer in your face. This needs two coats, lasts about five days with a top coat.

9. Natural collection - antique coral - £1.89 at boots I have had this colour for a while now so not sure if they still do this one but there may be a similar one.

This again is a coral which like I said is my perfect colour for spring/summer but this one is a pastel coral. This needs two coats, it's long lasting and applies lovely.

10. Nails inc feather effect - Chester   - on offer for £5.00 at  nails inc

This is an effect nail polish it's suppose to look like feathers which I actually think it does. It has flecks of blue, yellow and peach. You need three coats to get the full effect as you can see from the middle photo or just layer one coat over you favourite colour like I have in the last photo. I have applied it over the natural collection antique coral.

Let me know your go to spring/summer nail polish
