Me and my husband decided to go on a mini cruise to Bruges to see the Christmas market. It was buy one get one free on the p&o mini cruises so It would have been rude not to.

The boat journey on the way there and on the way back was not a good experience at all, it was so rocky and loud that it was hard to get some shut eye.

The rooms were to be expected on a small ferry, small, one plug socket that we needed an eu adaptor for, paper thin walls and no wifi. Well there was wifi but only in certain areas of the boat that only really just worked for you to check an email.

Bruge itself was beautiful, very picturesque. Lots of coffee shops and chocolate shops as you would expect. The Christmas market looked better as the day went on, when more stalls opened. I was disappointed with the Christmas market due to there being more drink stands than food and other types of stalls. However there were some amazing Christmas shops that made up for the lack of Christmas stalls.

I don't think I would rush back to do a p&o mini cruise but I would maybe go by the euro star train and stay over and future places we intend to visit
