Summer Sale Haul

I absolutely love sales! There's nothing better than that buzz of buying something for a lot cheaper than what it should have been. Throughout the sales I have bought items  from river-island, asos, new look, house of Fraser and miss selfridge. I didn't buy these all in one go, but I didn't want to haul them in dribs and drabs so I decided to wait until I had finished buying sale items.

River-island is probably one of my favourite places for sale shopping as the items usually get markdown by 50% +. If your subscribed to there email you should receive an email the day before the sale so you can preview and buy a small selection of there sale. I never seem to buy anything from the preview as its usually pretty rubbish, but I like getting this email as it’s a great reminder that there sale is starting. You have to be quick with the river-island sale online as things sell out fast. I couldn't believe my look when I came across this beautiful dress online and it was in my size!

This should have been £50 reduced to £25. I purchased this as I had a wedding to attend in a few weeks time and I thought this would be perfect. The material is quite thick so I actually felt like it would have been worth the £50 it was originally priced at. The peplum area is kind of like a flap that goes around your whole mid section which I loved especially for the wedding as it hid my food baby. It has a low back which is pretty but not too low that I couldn't wear a bra.

I also went into the store the next time I was in town to see if there was anything of interest in there. I came across this blue, white, grey and black shirt dress. I had seen this in the store before and liked it, but I didn't want to pay £45 for this.  So when I saw it had gone down to £20 I snapped it straight up. Shirt dresses are on trend at the moment so I got a great bargain for a current trend item.

New look was the next place I went to when there sale started. I went more crazy on the accessories than the clothing but you will see that later down the post. While searching through the sale rales I came across this gorgeous white floral dress, similar to river-island one but also completely different. I guess I just have a thing for white floral dresses at the moment. This should have been £22.99 down to £11.00. I know that if I don't get chance to wear it this year I will get lots of wear out of this next summer.

I got this summery top from asos. This is was an online exclusive from oasis and should have been £20 down to £11. I can always use cute tops like this to pair with shorts and jeans. This will get lots of wear this year and the next year.

The last item I bought from asos are these really cute crochet shorts these are by a brand called Parisian. They should have been £17.99  down to £12. I had been looking at shorts like this at the beginning of the summer but I wasn't sure if they would look right on me. So when they went in the sale I thought I would try them and they are just as cute on as they looked online.

This item by label lab and is from house of Fraser. It's not a summer item but it's perfect for the end of summer which will be very soon, sadly. This jumper should have been £69 but it went down to £20.50. I would never pay that price for a jumper I can't justify it. But I came across this and thought how unique it was with the beading detail and when I saw that it was in the sale and from what price it had been. I had to have it. It will be a staple item for me this winter.

I very nearly didn't but this Ted baker bag from house of Fraser. I saw it the day I bought the jumper and even though it should have been £99 reduced down to £69.30 and then down again to £49.50. I decided to leave it as I thought I didn't need it. All night I kept thinking about this bag and how I loved the colour of it, what a great price it had gone down to and how great it would look with that new river-island dress for the wedding. I decided the next day that I would pop back into town and if it was still there then it was meant to be mine and I would buy it. Well as you can see it was and I don't regret buying it at all. I absolutely love it!

My last items are all jewellery. I buy most of my costume jewellery from the sales as they go down to ridiculously good prices.

The gold and pink collar necklace is from new look this should have been £5.99 and was down to £2. I've already worn this out twice since buying it.

The necklace in the left with the opal stone is also from new look this should have been £4.99 and was down to £2 and the dainty one on the right again from new look priced at £2.99 down to £1. I thought these would look cute separate but also great layered together. They both have different chain lengths too so I think they will look good together.

The last necklace at the top was from miss Selfridge this should have been £8.99 down to £2. I've got a lot of wear out of this already too.

The last two bits of jewellery I bought were from river-island, these bangles priced at £10 down to £4 and this cute ring should have been £5 down to £1.

I love all my summer sale finds, I'm very happy with all my purchases and look forward to getting my wear out of them all.

What was your best summer sale bargain you found?
