Nail and skin care haul

We all run out of staple items from time to time, but I seem to have run out of everything at once! Even though I didn't buy them all together last time, does anyone else get this problem?

I needed a new base coat for my nails, the one I've been using is about 3 years old and has gone all thick and gloopy. I found this one by Sally Hansen in tkmaxx priced at £3.99. This is the maximum adhesion base coat, it apparently bonds you nail colour on like a magnet along with other things. This sounded pretty amazing and claims to do a lot of stuff. I will report back to you on how this base works out. While I was in tkmaxx I spotted two other nail items, the Essie no chips ahead anti chip top coat again at £3.99. The top coat I use at the moment is the nails in top coat that dries in less than 60 seconds I love this but it's nearly all gone and I wanted to try something new. The last nail polish I bought was the illamasqua nail polish in the shade fragile. This was £2.99, I didn't need a new nail polish colour but this colour caught my eye. I own a lot of nail polish and I didn't have one like this so I had to have it.

I went to boots to get a few more essentials that I had run out of. I needed some nail polish remover. I like boots's own nail polish remover its cheap, works well, is nourishing for you nails and when used to remove your nail polish you don't get left with that awful remover smell but a nice fruity scent. Then I picked up some skincare from boots. I had run out of both my day and night eye makeup remover. I repurchased the Garnier fresh eye makeup remover, I love this for the morning as its refreshing, de-puffs and generally makes my eyes feel more awake. For my night time eye makeup remover I picked up the L'Oréal micellar gel sensitive eye makeup remover. I've not tried this before so I thought I would give it a go and see if this product would work for me.

I then realised that I had no face wipes left so while I was in asda I picked up these Johnson face care wipes for combination skin, these were on offer and I believe they still are. I then spotted these nail varnish remover pads in this handy little pot. I thought this would be perfect to throw in your handbag for while your out or on a weekend away and realise that your nail polish is chipped and needs removing.

I'll let you know what I think about the products I've never tried before.
