Blogmas day 10 - max factor facefinity foundation review

I picked up this max factor facefinity 3in1 foundation when my skin was quite dry, all the foundation that I owned were liquid to powder foundations which just caked on all the dry patches.

This foundation is supposed to firstly prime the skin with a flexi-hold technology that creates a strong but lightweight film that sits comfortably on the skin. Secondly its supposed to defend against sweat and sebum by correcting and maintaining the look and preventing shine. Thirdly and lastly the foundation with SPF 20 is supposed to deliver an all day coverage and matt finish.

I didn't find that this sat comfortably on my skin, I found that it was still quite tacky on my face for about 5-10 minutes after applying. I struggled to apply this, if applied with a normal foundation brush I found that the brush marks were left on my face as it wasn't blending well. The best way I found to apply this was with a blending sponge, it gave me the flawless look that I wanted.

When applied with a blending sponge it looked great, I loved the fact it had spf20 in as well. This didn't cling to any dry patches I had which was what I was looking for, this is a low to medium coverage foundation that can be built up. After about five hours of wear though this started to cake around my nose and forehead where I get quite oily. So I didn't find that this kept the shine at bay as well as other foundations I've tried.

I don't think I'll be using this much and can see myself needing to throw it away, this doesn't suit me or my skin type. My skin type is combination, I'm extremely oily in the summer and get oily and dry patches in the winter. However it doesn't mean that it won't work out for your skin type, personally I think this would suit normal to slightly dry skin types.

Have you tried this foundation?
