I don’t usually post on Wednesday, but as you may have noticed ive missed a few of my usual blog days. Me my husband and our two friends went on a little break where we basically had no internet so I couldn’t upload anything. We went to a little log cabin with a hot tube, enjoyed nice walks, chilling out and just being away from the busy world.
So to make up for missing some posts I thought I would upload my Feb fav's. Ive got 5 favourites this month. All the way through feb I've used the same products as I did in January, but when we went away for our little break I discovered some new favs and rediscovered some old.
The first one is urban decays naked on the run palette. I always forget how much I love this palette, as I save this for just when im travelling or on weekends away. It’s the best product to take with you. It has 6 eyeshadows, the largest one (50/50) also doubles up as a highlighter. Also included in this set is a bronzer, blusher, lipgloss, eyeliner and mascara. The palette is sturdy for travelling and has a massive mirror. Some people say that the eyeshadows are too samey. But I've managed to get a few different looks out of this palette. Theres shades of lighter brown to do a smokey eye for the day, theres darker shades to do a smouldering night look and theres also a rusted bronze shade that gives you a completely different look.
Next up is the bourjois 123 perfect cc cream, in the shade ivory. I bought midway through January. I really wasn’t getting on with the foundations that I had in my draw, they were either high coverage or cream to matt formulas that made my dry patches stand out. Usually in the colder month I like a higher coverage foundation but my skin hasn’t been looking so bad, apart from the odd dry patch but it is winter. I always love bourjois foundations as they are never too heavy, there usually light and make you skin look more radiant. This foundation is no exception, its light, blends quickly, doesn’t dry my skin out and has spf15 in it. This also has a 3 pigment colour correction, hence it being called a cc cream. It has apricot for anti fatigue, green for anti redness and white for anti dark spots. When using this I find my skin is more radiant, I don’t really have to apply any concealer to cover any redness unless it’s a serious angry spot, but this foundation calms it down so the concealer can hide it more easily. If you haven't tried this already, I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
Bliss Fabulous makeup melt. This is a gel to oil cleanser. I had tried this out a while back and liked it but wanted to keep it for travelling as I thought it was a perfect size. This as the name suggests melts your makeup away, mascara just disintegrates. This cleanser actually makes it a pleasant experience to take your makeup off as you don’t have to spend half an hour trying to get your mascara off.
I got this spectrum brush out of my feb birchbox, I love the colourful design. The bristles are soft and the brush is light weight. Im going to look into more of there brushes as this is just such a nice brush to use.
Lastly is the lanolips lip ointment in rhubarb. This is a rediscovery for me. It was quite chilly while out walking so my lips where getting quite dry. This was my savour while I was away. It added colour and kept my lips in tip top condition.
