Yes I have a lot of shoes, but what girl doesn't ?
My collection however seems to be full of lots of black ones. I'm always attracted to the black shoes and I think that's because I'm like "well these will go with anything" and if they go with anything, surely that will mean I will get lots of wear out of them. But if I have so many black shoes am I really going to get that much wear out of them. How different can that one pair of black shoes be over the others I already have in my collection?
Don't get me wrong, some of the shoes I own, I've had for 5 years, some even 7+ years. So its not like I've been going mad buying them all up, I've purchased them over the years. I'm at the point now where I look at my shoes and think I should probably get rid of some of them, as I don't wear them any more, due to them being quite worn. But every time, I manage to stop myself throwing them out. I always end up thinking of the memories that relate to that pair of shoes. I think this is a first stage hoarder symptom right? Keeping old shoes that I don't wear any more because they hold good memories. The memories are in photos and in my head, I shouldn't need old shoes to remind me!
Anyway I got thinking about this as I really, and I mean really want some over the knee boots. Yes I could buy them in some other colours, but I really want them in black as I want to be able to get the most wear out of them, there's my favourite saying! I'm trying to justify buying these by the fact that I don't actually own any over the knee boots! I also know that I can get rid of quite a few pairs of old knackered shoes to make room for them. But I know if I do buy them my husband will still be like, "oh another pair of shoes, do you need those?" Erm ,yes I do just like he needs another football top!
I'm going to make the decision over the next few days as I have a voucher for New Look and that runs out soon. I'm quite picky though as I want some over the knee boots that have a heel on them, as I personally don't really like the flat ones for me. But I don't want them to be overly high, as I want to be able to wear them throughout the day. I also want them to be closer to thigh high style boots, I don't want much do I? I've been looking online at a few shops. I've seen some possibilities on Asos, New look and Boohoo, but the fact I have a voucher for New look, is kind of swaying me more towards them.
Please tell me I'm not the only one with a black shoe/boot addiction. Do you feel that you have to justify your need to buy another pair of shoes? or is that just me?
