As usual I went shopping in the sales, after Christmas. This post isn't my usual clothing sale haul, its actually beauty related. But don't worry, there is a clothing sale haul coming soon. I never usually buy any beauty items in the sale, not that I wouldn't want to. Its just usually all the stuff has already sold out. Every year I venture into boots to hunt out a bargain. But every year I'm usually disappointed and find that there's nothing really left. Well to my surprise, this year there was so much stuff in boots. I guess most people had done online sale shopping this year. I tried to only get stuff I really liked or anything I thought I needed. I only ended up coming away with two things. But I didn't want to go overly crazy and end up with beauty sets that i wouldn't really use. And had just bought it because it looked good.
I picked up a set from soap and glory, called simply the zest. Which you all know I love. Especially the sugar crush line, which is lime scented. I couldn't get over how much soap and glory stuff was still available. I decided to only pick one set up, as I did get a set for Christmas. But again I thought this would be perfect for travelling and weekends away, as they are the miniature versions of my favourite products. This set included five items which are a body wash, body scrub, body butter, hand cream and a shower puff. This set should have cost £10, but was in the sale for £5. Basically a £1 each for the products inside.
The second item I picked up, was this trio of candles. The cute sayings caught my eye, be silly, be honest, be kind. I want to live my 2017 by these sayings, that's probably why they caught my eye.
Be silly - Stop taking life so seriously all the time, get out, have fun and enjoy what the world has to offer.
Be honest - Tell people the truth! Don't lie about how your feeling, be more yourself and stop hiding.
Be kind - Something we all need to do and something I always try and do myself anyway. I'm a believer of karma, you do good things and good things will eventually happen for you.
A bit emotionally heavy for candles, but you see what I'm saying. I thought they would look really good in my dressing room. As a reminder everyday to enjoy life, be myself and think of others more. Another plus to these candles, is that there also scented. Be silly is passion fruit crush, be honest is coconut milkshake and be kind is mango sorbet. They all smell really nice, not too over powering either. I'm looking forward to burning these and seeing how much scent they kick off. The trio of candles should have been £10, but they were also in the sale for £5. So it was like I'd got one of the two items I'd bought for free really.
