Its time for my January favourites. Ive got quite a few this month, but that’s due to getting few new things over christmas.
First up is the Gwen Stefani urban decay palette. Ive already done a review on this so I don’t need to go into detail on why I love it so much. Its just got a really great shade selection and I absolutely love it. If you want to know my full thoughts on it then check out my review from a couple of weeks ago.
Nars-issit blush, contour and lip palette, this has three blushers, a bronzer, highlighter and a lipgloss. Im going to do a full review on this soon, but its great value for money to buy palettes like this. The three blushers are great shades they are enrapture, enthralled and roman holiday. The bronzer is the cult classic laguna and the highlighter is albatross. The mini lipgloss is in the shade istria. Ive been using this constantly this month, the pigmentation is great and the shades really compliment my skin tone.
Perfumes don't often make my favourites as its very rare that I buy a new perfume so it ends up being the same scent that I always go for. I was bought this perfume for christmas by the husband, I have never smelt it before and it smells sooo good. This is the Prada candy florale, this is light sweet floral scent and its getting me excited for spring.
First aid beauty eye duty triple remedy. Omg this stuff is amazing for the morning. It depuffs by using the metal tip to buff in the eye cream. The cream helps to brighten and smooth and it also acts like a concealer if your eyes are not too dark. Otherwise it makes a great base for your concealer as it helps to brighten and counteract the dark circles.
This next product I received in my birch box, I didn’t even realise that benefit were launching a new product. This is benefits they're real tinted primer. I really like that this is brown and not white, you can actually just use this for those no makeup - makeup days or it acts as a great base for your mascara. This brush really separates all the lashes, it conditions your lashes and is water resistant.
Maybelline elixir in the shade blush essence had been a go to shade for me this month. These are so creamy and feel like they are hydrating your lips. They also have great colour pigmentation.
Another lip combo ive been loving is this lip liner by no7 in nude paired with the nudie-tudie gloss by benefit. Lining my lips with this nude liner makes my lips look so much fuller and the gloss over the top make them look plumper.
I know its weird to have two eyeshadow palettes in my January favourites and I do love my urban decay one but I may be the only weirdo that like to use different products for work. I like to use products for work that are quick and subtle, so that it makes life easier when you have ten minutes to do your makeup. This is the soap and glory lid stuff palette. This has six shades that range from light to dark so you don’t have to think about what shades to mix with what, its just a quick and easy smokey eye palette. The colours are nicely pigmented and blend really easy together.
Soap and glory's archery has become my favourite brow product. One end is a tint and the other is a pencil. I like using the pencil for work as it’s a softer look and its quick to do. The tint I like when im not at work as it takes a little more time but your brows look more defined.
My last product is another by soap and glory its there smoulder kohl, this is water proof and very black. You can smudge this at first to get the 'smoulder' look but once it dries its smudge proof! This is long lasting and looks great along the lash line rather than liquid liner for a softer look.
I had quite a few favourites this month, I hope you liked them. Have you tried any of these?
