Top 10 Mascara part 1

This week I'm going to be sharing with you, my top 10 mascara's and why I love them. This is going to be a two part series. The first part will be 5 high end mascara's and the second part will be my top 5 lower end mascaras.

From my mascara's I like volume and length, so if that's not what your into from your mascara then this probably wont be the right kind of post for you. However, if you are into volume and length or know anyone that likes that kind of mascara. Keep reading, you may find something you want to try.

Benefit Badgal lash
£17.50 8.5g

The brush on this mascara is absolutely massive. You do need to be careful on application, so you don't end up getting it on your lid as well as your lashes. The brush ensures that every lash is coated in the jet black formula.

After applying this my lashes are left super black, have super volume and even lengthened, which it doesn't promise to do. My lashes are not left caked up, they don't look spidery and there not left looking or feeling dry. This wears really nice throughout the day. My lashes didn't feel irritated and there was no flaking. I think this is a great mascara for everyday use, as it gives good volume and length without being too much for day to day wear.

Urban decay Perversion
£17.50 12ml

The brush looks like any normal brush, but manages to deliver bigger and bolder lashes.

This has a slogan of bigger, blacker and badder lashes. It definitely delivers that, as you can see. The base of the lashes have been thickened, leaving my lashes looking way blacker, so much more voluminous and super lengthy. The formula is perfect, it doesn't dry your lashes out and its not too wet or too dry when applying. I hate when you get a new mascara and their too wet to use properly. This wears really nicely throughout the day and there's no clumping or flaking. I think this is a great evening mascara, rather than a day to day one. Just because it takes the volume to the next level.

Lancome Hypnose
£23.50  6.5ml

On this mascara the brush is long but thin. I think this helps you catch all your lashes in one swoop. With the the brush being thin it means you can get close to the base of your lashes, without getting mascara all  over your eye lid.

The formula on this was quite wet when I first used it, but that soon settled down after a week of using the mascara. This gives my lashes a subtle amount of volume but adds so much more length to my lashes. This again wears really nicely through the day, my eyes don't get irritated towards the end of the day. There is no flaking to this and it doesn't clump up on application. I personally think that this is a good day mascara, as its more subtle for daily life.

Too Faced Better Than Sex
£19.00 8ml

The brush on this mascara is designed after the iconic silver screen blonde bombshell, Marilyn Monroe. This hour glass brush coats every lash in a carbon black collagen formula.

After one coat lashes are lengthened, defined and look dramatic. To stretch your lashes even further in length and add more drama to them all you have to do is apply a couple more coats. This is one of the first mascaras I've used that you can really build up without it clumping and getting that spidery lash look. After 3 coats my lashes are feeling slightly heavy, but they still manage to have that curve to them and it holds up all day. My eyes don't get irritated by the end of the day and there is no flaking to this mascara!

Tarte Lights, Camera, Flashes
£18.00 9ml

I'm not a massive fan of plastic brushes, so you wont see too many of them. This is one the few plastic brush mascaras that have made it into my top 10. I haven't seen a brush like this before, its two sided. the first side has straight bristles and they are close together, this side catches all your lashes and gives them some length. The second side the bristles are spaced further apart and have a slight curve to them. This side really amps up the volume and gives your lashes curves.

On one application my lashes have extreme volume and look much longer. You can layer this up quite easily to add even more volume, If you apply any more than three layers though your lashes do feel very heavy and they can look a bit clumpy. This mascara like the rest doesn't irritate my eyes and doesn't flake throughout the day. For me this is perfect for the evening.

Out of my top 5 high end, which one if your favourite or one you would like to try?
