It was my besties birthday last Friday, we went to one of our local eateries for tapas and cocktails. We went to a place called The Tale Of Two. We enjoyed a couple of cocktails, a bottle of peach champagne and ordered lots of tapas, 21 dishes in total!!
I wanted to look stylish as we were going out for an evening meal. I especially feel like I needed to look stylish for cocktails, but I also wanted to be comfortable as I new we were going to be eating a lot.
I chose these high waisted super skinny jeans from New Look, there surprisingly comfy to wear even though they look like they've been spray painted onto my legs. I felt like sandy from Grease. They make my legs and bum look amazing though, so there great evening jeans and they keep my belly looking flat.
The top is a new addition to my wardrobe, I picked this up last week from the River Island sale for £8. I really love this bright pink colour and when I looked in my wardrobe I found that I literally own no clothing in this colour. This is just a basic cami, but because its not a cotton cami it looks a bit more dressy. This is also great because its floaty so any swelling that will happen to my belly after eating too much tapas will be hidden.
My blazer is from Miss Selfridge, I got this spring/summer time last year. I'm not usually one for blazers but Paul picked it out for me and told me to try it on as he thought it would suit me. He was right I love it and it just adds that touch of sophistication to an outfit and can really dress your jeans and t-shirt look up.
These shoes are my absolute favourite, there one of the very few brightly coloured shoes I own and as i said I'm really loving this colour right now. Obviously I matched the shoes to the colour of my top as I wanted that colour to pop even more. These shoes are from River island and I bought these in the sale at Christmas with a voucher I got. I've worn these a few times now, they not bad on the comfy scale. If your just standing up on your feet for more than a few hours then yes they start to hurt, but there easy to walk in and comfy to a certain degree.
That pop of colour also made an appearance on the bag I chose. This is a clutch by Marc B, that I picked up from Asos around the same time I got the shoes from River Island.
To finish my outfit I had some really dainty pieces of jewellery on, a diamante bar bracelet from Accessorize, circle hoop studs from New Look and a double circle necklace also from New Look
If you like any of the pieces from my outfit, then check the links out. I've linked to where you can buy them and items that are similar if that piece is no longer available to buy.
Have you ever trusted your partner or a friend to pick a piece of clothing out for you?
