Blogmas Day 14 - Glossybox

If you read my Birchbox post, you'll remember me saying how much I look forward to receiving my December beauty boxes. Well my Glossybox, arrived a few days after my Birchbox. After showing you what I got in my Birchbox, I thought it was only fair to show you what I got in my Glossybox too. Especially when its my favourite month.

All five products in this months Glossybox, are full size. Also all the five products are all make-up, so there's no skin or haircare products in sight.

First up in the box, is a lipstick. The lipstick is by mdmflow, which costs £18  If your already a subscriber to Glossybox, then you would've already known that this product would be in your box. Unless your a bit like me, and completely forgot. So this month, we were given the choice between two shades of lipstick. I believe it was between two shades anyway. The shade I went for was the plum shade, called vamp. It's a statement shade, that's semi-matte and perfect for this time of the year.

The rest of the beauty items in this box have apparently been chosen based on this lipstick I chose. So they should all compliment a plum lip.

Essence light up your face luminizer palette, is the next product in this box. Its a trio of highlighters that costs £3. The shades vary from a light pearl to a golden glow. These are very soft feeling and the colour pay off, is actually pretty decent. I'm quite surprised at how these look and apply for £3.

You need a bold brow, to go with a bold lip. Which is why they've included a brow product from collection. This is the define & perfect eyebrow powder, which is priced at £4.19. I got the shade brunette2. The powder contains tiny fibres, that add instant volume to the brows. This has a liner type nib, which should allow you to create natural hair-like strokes. I've tried it out quickly and it does seem like it'll be a good brow product. You do get a tiny bit of fallout, when you apply it to your brows, but its nothing major. It makes a rattle sound in the brush handle, I have absolutely no idea why, or what the use of this would be. The noise, while using it, is slightly annoying. But again not a major problem.

This next product, goes perfectly with the lipstick. In fact, with any of your favourite lipsticks. This product has been around for quite some time. It called Lipcote and costs £3.99. I've had one of these before, there actually really good. For such a small price, this product seals in your lipstick, so it becomes water resistant and wont feather. It's a really simple and quick product to use, but it makes all the difference to the wear time of your lipstick.

Lastly is a nail varnish from Revlon. I have quite a lot, and I mean a lot of nail varnish. But surprisingly I don't own one by Revlon. The shade I received is called valentine, which is a deep wine red colour and is priced at £6.49. This nail polish should be chip resistant for 10days and have an ultra glossy finish.

What product would you most like to try, out of this months Glossybox?
