Yesterday I went through how I keep my lips prepped and ready, for all my winter lipstick wearing. Well today, I thought I would share with you, what my top five lipsticks that I reach for are. I found it quite hard choosing just five, because I do have so many favourites, when it comes to this time of the year. It took me a while, but I finally manage to pick just five out, that I was happy with.
I've chosen nude, red and purple shades of lipsticks. From brands such as Urban Decay, Lord&Berry and Soap&Glory. Lets go through my all time favourite brand first, Urban Decay. You may think that £15 for a lipstick is pricey. Even I did, until I tired one out. Urban Decays lipsticks are the best lipsticks I own by far in my collection. Not only do they have insane colour pay off, from just one swipe. But they are also loaded with nourishing ingredients, to comfort, hydrate and enhance your lips. These lipsticks are also by far, the longest wearing lipsticks I own. Two of the five lipsticks are by Urban decay, but to be quite honest, all five could have been by them. The shades I chose were Liar, which is a creamy dark pink nude and Gash, which is a creamy deep raspberry red.
This year, I've found that I have a massive love for lip crayons. There super easy to use, you can line your lips and apply all in one go. This brings me onto the next brand of lipsticks that made it into my favourite's, Lord&Berry. I discovered the amazing crayon lipsticks by Lord&Berry, through my birchbox. These are priced around £10, and come in various shades. I own two of them, which have both made it into my favourites. Which just shows how much I like them. The shades that have made it into my top five are, intimacy (nude with a purple tone) and Kiss (bright red). Both of these shades are matte which, by now you should know about my obsession with matte lip products. These lip crayons are creamy on application and are long lasting on the lips. But they can be a little drying on the lips throughout the day. Its best to stay clear of these lips crayons on days were your lips are already dry.
The last brand and the last lipstick is by Soap&Glory. Its one of their sexy mother pucker gloss crayons. Told you, I'm obsessed with lip crayons. This one is called raplumzel, which as the name would suggest is a plum shade. Its a sheer plum though, as its a more of a lip gloss than a lipstick. But you can build the colour up. This one is no longer available to buy unfortunately, as they re-designed and re-launched early this year. But there are plenty of other shades to choose from. This lip crayon is hydrating, glossy and creamy.
