Blogmas Day 8 - Keeping lips looking fab

Red lip season! It's what I would call this time of the year. A lot more people around this time of year, dare to wear, the bold red lip. I'm included in this. I love wearing shades of red and purples, in the winter months. Red more in December, most likely to do with the festive season. I find I wear far more lipstick in the winter months, than I do in any other months. Unfortunately, the winter months are the worst for us lipstick wearers. The cold weather dries out our skin, making our lips chapped and cracked. This is why I follow a strict routine in the winter, to help keep my lips look and feel baby soft. I look after my lips using four products, two are used daily and two are used once a week.

The two products I use once a week, are to cleanse and exfoliate my lips. The first is by Bliss, its their fabulips foaming lip cleanser. This cleanser lifts impurities, dirt and make-up. Leaving lips feeling clean and refreshed. This foams up on your lips within seconds, giving them a deep clean and prepping them for the next step in my routine.

The second product in my weekly routine, is another one by Bliss. Its the fabulips sugar lip scrub. This lip scrub gently buffs away dry flakes, to nourish and smooth lips. This scrub doesn't only just buff away the dry flakes though, it also nourishes and conditions your lips. It does this by using a mixture of butter, oils and vitamins.

The products I use daily, are lip balms. One in the morning and one in the evening. My morning lip balm is by the organic pharmacy. Its the antioxidant lip balm, which you may have seen in my November favourites. This lip balm is infused with Shea butter, pomegranate, rose hip and vitamin E. These help to protect and restore lips. The nourishing balm relieves dry, chapped lips. It also keeps lips hydrated, by creating a protective barrier that seals in moisture.

My evening balm, is just some simple Vaseline. Vaseline is a wonderful beauty product, that gets overlooked quite a bit. I use this on my lips at night, as its thicker and will last throughout the night. It's gentle on skin, hypo-allergenic, protects from chapping and wont clog pores.

These four products so far, have kept my lips soft, smooth and nourished. Meaning my lips are prepped and ready for any amount of lipstick I want to wear this month.

What's your favourite product, to keep your lips baby soft?
