I'm back!!
You may have noticed that I didn't upload a blog post last Friday or Monday, most of you will know from my previous blog posts that I was going on holiday and may think that this is the reason behind the missing posts. Well I'm all about being honest on here and I'll tell you right now I didn't plan on missing any posts, I had already written and scheduled posts for when I was away.
Usually when you come home from holiday, your refreshed and you feel ready to tackle anything and everything. Unfortunately for me and Paul, we came home and got very ill. We ended up having a stomach bug, I got over mine a lot quicker than Paul did but it completely drained us both of any energy. Being ill, going back to work and then having to look after Paul, I didn't have chance or the energy to sit down and write a post. I certainly didn't want to rush out a blog post, just to get one up. This is something I enjoy doing, I didn't want it to feel like it was a chore! So I decided to take some me time, get myself back to feeling great again and refresh those energy levels before throwing myself back into blogging.
To get myself feeling back to my normal, I've been taking a few relaxing baths with some aromatherapy oils, lighting some relaxing lavender candles, applying face masks to get my skin looking great again and enjoying one too many lattes and hot chocolates. Why is it whenever you get ill, not only do you feel like crap but you end up looking like it too! My skin was looking great before I got ill. While I was ill my skin got really dry and I broke out in quite a few places on my face. Usually I only have a hormonal break out on my chin. Anyway after taking this time out to look after myself, my skin is getting back to normal, I feel energised and ready to get back into not only blogging but also back into my workouts and eating normally again.
I feel its important for us all to try and take some me time, whether you've got just five minutes for a coffee break or an hour to relax in the bath, whatever time you've got take it and enjoy it as life can be so hectic! I always try at least once a week to take a few hours out, to pamper myself. I find a little bit of me time is just what I need to unwind
after a stressful week.
What do you enjoy doing to unwind and relax?
Check back Monday to see all my holiday outfits
