Guys guess what?? I finally started my Christmas shopping!! If you read last months favourites post, you'll know I was starting to freak out about the fact I'd not started my Christmas shopping. Which for me is unheard of. I'm usually the first out of my family and friends to start buying presents, I'm known as the organised one of the group. I just don't feel like there is enough time in the day to do everything I want and that included buying presents and getting myself organised this year. Anyway I feel much better now I've got half of my presents sorted and I'm also very happy to confirm that the Christmas decorations are up in my house!! You'll get to see how I've decorated my house this year in an upcoming blogmas post. Yes that's right I'm doing blogmas again this year. I've done blogmas the last few years and I've really enjoyed it, so of course I wanted to do it again this year. I'll be uploading a new blog post everyday at 5pm from the 1st of December until the 24th of December. Enough about how excited I am for Christmas and blogmas, your here to read about this months favourites....
A beautiful rose gold blusher! I've had this in my collection for a while now, but I only used to wear this blusher in the evenings. However this month I've been using this everyday, I don't know why I decided to save it just for the evenings. I guess that's because of the golden glow this gives your cheeks. But I think this is an amazing winter blush. Its a gorgeous pinky peach shade with a golden glow, which warms up your cheeks and the golden glow gives some life back into your cheeks too.
I know this was in last months favourites, but I freaking love this palette! I have seriously used this everyday since I bought it. There is so many different looks to create and even though I've been using it everyday I still haven't used every shade yet. There's 7 out of the 35 shades that I haven't used yet. They are Queen, Royalty, Twerk, pool party, Jada, Diva and Enchanted. I'm already thinking about how to incorporate Queen into my Christmas make-up look and I'm desperate to use Diva and Enchanted soon as they are very beautiful dark green shades. But I don't think I will use Royalty, Twerk, Pool Party or Jada until the summer, as they are more fun vibrant shades. I can have some issues when I come to use this foundation. I have combination skin and If my skin is a bit to dry when I try to use this, then it sits horribly on my face and shows up all my dry patches. But my skin has been in great condition lately, I only have some slight oiliness to battle with, so this foundation has been sitting on my skin great. This foundation makes my skin look flawless but my face doesn't feel like I have any foundation on. It feels naked, hence the name of the foundation!! This is long lasting, has a really nice coverage and isn't cakey. If you suffer from dry skin then this isn't a foundation for you as it does dry down matte. But if you suffer with oiliness then this could be a great foundation for you too.
I'm really into purple shades at the moment and you know how much I love my matte lip products. So this lip paint is perfect for me right now with its mauve shade and matte finish. I really like how this doesn't dry out my lips, as its a creamy matte. This lip paint also has great pigmentation and is long lasting. I've eaten many meals wearing this lip product and fully expected to have to re-apply, but when I've checked its still looking as great as when I applied. I only have this one mini creamy matte lip paint, after falling in love with this formula I would really like to get my hands on some other shades. Especially a red, which would be perfect for Christmas day.
This mascara builds, separates and defines lashes with intense black pigment. Leaving lashes looking volumised and lengthened! It's a very wet mascara, which I often end up getting on my brow bone. But that's down to me not letting this dry properly and the great length this gives my lashes. But other than that minor problem it's a great mascara. It doesn't flake or irritate the eyes and its long wearing.
