Can you really remove your make-up with just water?

I've had a Magnitone cleansing cloth in my beauty draw for a while now. Its one of those micro-fibre cleansing cloths, that removes make-up with just water! I've been wanting to try one of these cleansing cloths out for a while now. I wanted to see if this cleansing cloth really does remove make-up with just water. But its been sat in my draw waiting for me to try it out not because I've been nervous about trying it out, but because before you use it you need to wash it in the washing machine and I just kept forgetting to grab it when I was doing the washing. Anyway I ended up leaving it on top of my washing machine so I wouldn't forget and I could finally try out this cloth.

I was very sceptical about this cloth. I find it difficult to remove all my make-up with cleanser sometimes, especially mascara. So for this to be able to remove the toughest, long-wearing and oil based make-up with just water, well that just baffles me!

When I tested this out, I had a full face of make-up on. I didn't want to test it out on a day where I was at work, as even though I wear make-up at work I don't wear my usual full face. I go for a minimal look, that saves time and gets me those extra few minutes in bed. So I chose to use this on a day where I'd gone for full coverage make-up, which is long lasting and usually takes a little longer to remove.

I couldn't believe how quick and effective this was at removing my make-up. My usual evening routine takes me about 15 minutes to remove my make-up and apply my skincare. This halved the time of my routine. I didn't have to overly rub my face, this cloth grabbed the make-up like a magnet and removed everything, even the mascara with no trouble. This didn't leave smeary mascara down my face, like cleansers can. Also because it was just water that removed my make-up I wasn't left with a residue on my face that some cleansers can leave behind.I didn't feel the need to double cleanse using this, but I decided that I would use some micellar water on a cotton pad and wipe it around my face to see if this cloth had truly got every scrap of make-up off my face. The cotton pad was clean, there wasn't even a tiny trace of mascara left behind!

I was so impressed with this cleansing cloth that I decided to try it out again, but this time using the Badgal Bang mascara. If you read my review on the new Benefit Badgal Bang mascara that I uploaded on Wednesday, you might revere me saying that his mascara is an absolute pain to remove (if you haven't checked that post out yet, then click here to read it). My usual make-up remover couldn't get all the mascara off, I had to use Benefits own they're real make-up remover to be able to get the mascara completely off my lashes. I wanted to see how Magnitone's cleansing cloth would do against this tough mascara. Again I was shocked at how well this removed all my make-up and at how well it did at removing the stubborn Benefit mascara, with hardly any effort. Once again I did wipe around my face with micellar water. This time the cotton pad wasn't clean, there was a slight bit of mascara left on the cotton pad. But it was hardly anything at all, so I was still super impressed.

This cleansing cloth is super soft and it feels really nice on the skin. This would be perfect for anyone with sensitive skin, who usually struggles with certain cleansers. Being able to remove your make-up with just warm water is great for any skin type, but specifically it could be a game changer for someone with sensitive skin. You can use this not only on the face, but also on your eyes and lips too. This does cost £14.99, but you get two in a pack and they are double sided. Meaning you get two days use out of one. They are re-usable and can be washed up to 1000 times in the washing machine at 30 degrees. One of the biggest reasons I think they are amazing too, is that they are Eco Friendly. I think this will be a big selling point for this type of make-up remover, as everyone is much more conscious about what we're doing to the environment. Yes £14.99 is pricey at first, but the fact that you get two cloths that can be re-used 1000 times each is more than worth the money and then you just have to think about all of the money you will save on cleanser too.

I only got one wipe as a sample from a beauty box, so I will be thinking about purchasing a pack of two at some point soon, as I really do like this way of removing my make-up. But right now I have a lot of cleansers and make-up removers to get through and I want to use those up first.

What do you think to these micro fibre cleansing cloths?
Would you switch to one of these over your normal cleanser?

I appreciate you taking the time and energy to put this information together.
I once again find myself personally spending way too much time both reading and posting comments.
But so what, it was still worthwhile!
